Baszler looks back at her Raw Women’s Title match at WrestleMania.

The 2020 installment of WWE WrestleMania emanated from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were no fans in attendance for the two-night event.

On night one, Shayna Baszler clashed with Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship and Lynch emerged victorious. Baszler looked back on that while on Busted Open Radio and explained why she felt ‘down’ afterwards.

So there was a time period after I had that Mania match with Becky (Lynch) when I first was called up and like, I lost and I was down about that… WrestleMania seems like the end of the thing, right? So I’m like, now what? You know? I missed it. But I think Josh (Barnett), my coach Josh, he said that to me where he was like, the thing about what I have, saying, ‘What you have to me is that at any moment, you could just be doing dark matches but at any moment, a title match happens and the person goes to the top of the ramp and then you come out and smack ‘em. You’re the type of style that people go, oh! Shayna’s back! And it’s a threat’ so, with what I bring to the table, it’s not a common thing, especially as far as the women’s division. So I have to remember that, and like, anytime there’s an opportunity to tear more people’s limbs off at one time…

Lynch would later reveal in an interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin that she pitched to lose the title to Baszler.
