Will Ospreay says he wants to inspire people who are neurodivergent, crediting his autism, dyslexia and ADHD for getting him to where he is today.

Ospreay was appearing with RJ City for the AEW web series ‘Hey EW’.

RJ brought up a 2023 comment by Ospreay when he was interviewed by Renee Paquette. In that interview, he said:

All of us autistic kids, we’re so much better than regular, normal people. We can lock into shit and do it. To all my autism kids out there, we’re top.

On Sunday morning’s show, Ospreay elaborated, saying:

In the school system, I didn’t find out a lot about myself until after I left. So I wasn’t afforded any of the extra time or there were so many things in my education that I really needed help on, and I didn’t get that help.

And it’s not just me, it’s a f–king wide bunch of people. So finding out all this shit about myself, I just wanna show people that like, yeah, I’ve got autism, I have ADHD as well.

He also touched on his dyslexia:

I’m super dyslexic. I can’t read, I had to have someone f–king read my contract out for me.

He framed those life experiences in a positive way, with the belief that he would not have made it to where he is otherwise.

I feel like I’ve got to the point where I am because of all these things that make me who I am, and I want to inspire people.

A lot of people don’t take risks on people that do have autism around my area. And I would like to hope that seeing me doing this stuff, it does inspire other people.
