While speaking at the Las Vegas Convention Center this week, WWE president Nick Khan confirmed additional events for WrestleMania weekend in the city.
KLAS in Las Vegas covered Khan’s appearance at “Preview Las Vegas” hosted by the Vegas Chamber to promote the two-night WrestleMania 41 events on April 19 & 20 at Allegiant Stadium.
During the discussion, Khan added that the April 18 edition of Friday Night SmackDown and April 21 edition of Raw would emanate from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Khan also noted that its fan convention, WWE World will return for this year’s WrestleMania and will be organized by its partner Fanatics Events. It had previously been noted that it would take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Khan covered many subjects including some breakdowns of its audience that purchase tickets and its viewership:
Fifty percent of the people who attend our events attend with a child, 40 percent of our viewing audience are women.
While not officially announced by WWE, Khan revealed that for the second year in a row, the company will stage a premium live event in France. He didn’t specify which event was going overseas but noted it would be in France after running Backlash in Lyon last year.
Last July, Wrestlenomics obtained public records to confirm that WWE was receiving a $5 million grant as part of its incentive package from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) to host WrestleMania 41.
The records also showed that WWE would have use of the Las Vegas Convention Center “rent-free” and would also benefit from a branding campaign by the LVCVA.
It is the second time that Las Vegas has hosted WrestleMania after staging the 1993 event outside of Caesar’s Palace and the second time WWE is running Allegiant Stadium following SummerSlam in August 2021.
