AJPW announces field for 2025 Champion Carnival tournament; XYON making debut

The former NXT talent is debuting in the tournament.

All Japan Pro Wrestling held a show at Korakuen Hall on February 9th and as it was ongoing, the participants in the annual Champion Carnival tournament were unveiled.

Among those competing in this year’s tourney is former WWE talent XYON a.k.a. Xyon Quinn. XYON joined WWE in the fall of 2018 and in April 2024, he was released from the company.

He is in the A block of the Champion Carnival along with the following names:

  • Jun Saito (AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion)
  • Hideki Suzuki
  • Shotaro Ashino
  • Kuma Arashi
  • Kengo Mashimo
  • XYON
  • Cyrus
  • Davey Boy Smith Jr.

  • Rei Saito
  • Hokuto Omori
  • Yuma Anzai
  • Ryuki Honda
  • Ren Ayabe

Champion Carnival kicks off on April 9th and it’ll wrap on May 18th. The winner of the tournament will go on to challenge for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship.
