It will be career vs. career next month.

Two of the biggest names in Joshi promotion STARDOM – Tam Nakano and Saya Kamitani – will face off in a loser must retire match at All Star Grand Queendom on April 27 in Yokohama, Japan.

The upcoming match is a further escalation in their rivalry, which some expected to end at Monday’s show in Tokyo.

Kamitani and Nakano met in a “Loser leaves STARDOM” match this week, headlining a massive turnout at Korakuen Hall. The stipulation was made after Nakano challenged Kamitani last week, looking to rematch the same woman who took her World Of Stardom Championship in a singles bout late last year.

After Kamitani prevailed in a 25-minute contest on Monday – winning with help from H.A.T.E. factionmates and hitting her finishing moves on Nakano in a highly physical bout – it was assumed by many that the former champ was banished from STARDOM.

But afterward, Kamitani offered another match that would raise the stakes even higher: They’ll both remain in STARDOM, but whoever loses at the late-April card will be gone from wrestling as a whole. The World of Stardom Championship that Kamitani currently holds will be on the line as well.

Backstage comments from both wrestlers afterward confirmed their intentions to meet at the upcoming card next month. The bout has yet to be officially announced by STARDOM.

The match between Nakano and Kamitani was streamed for free on STARDOM’s Youtube. It has attained over 300,000 views in just a few hours.
