Details of the settlement and restrictions that have been applied for said fan’s future plans for attending wrestling events.

The Japan-based World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana promotion reached a settlement in a civil lawsuit that was filed against an individual who posted photos on social media that sexually emphasized parts of wrestlers’ bodies.

The suit was filed at the Tokyo District Court in January 2024. Diana claimed that the person violated their business rights and violated personal rights of the wrestlers. A settlement was reached on February 17th, 2025.

The person took photos of the wrestlers during their matches and posted them onto socials to speak about their bodies in a sexual manner. The promotion argued that it gave wrestlers anxiety and they were not able to focus on their in-ring work. There were other spectators at shows who expressed that what was taking place was unacceptable. Throughout the trial, there were a total of eight hearings.

As a part of the settlement, the defendant apologized to World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana and to the wrestlers involved in the case. The defendant must now pay 500,000 yen (approximately $3,300 USD) to Diana and to each of the wrestlers involved in the suit.

The defended promised to not attend any Diana shows going forward and when wrestlers from Diana are working shows that he’s attending, he must leave the venue until their match is done. The individual also agreed to not put out information about Diana or their wrestlers on any social media platform.
