WWE revealed on Friday that Lex Luger will be inducted into its 2025 Hall of Fame class.
Luger got the news from Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on February 19th. However, the news was released only today.
In a video posted to social media, Luger is seen with Diamond Dallas Page doing some exercises when they were interrupted by Rhodes, who said, “On behalf of WWE, we would like you to be part of the 2025 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.”

Luger then stood up from his wheelchair and the three men embraced.
Luger, 66, was one of the most recognizable stars of the late 1980s and 1990s. Known as “The Total Package,” he held multiple championships, including the WCW World Heavyweight Title, and had memorable feuds with the likes of Ric Flair and Sting.
In 1993, he made a high-profile jump to WWE, where he was positioned as an all-American hero and headlined SummerSlam against Yokozuna.
After returning to WCW in 1995, Luger found renewed success, becoming a key player in the Monday Night War. He famously ended Hulk Hogan’s nearly year-long reign as WCW Champion in 1997, a landmark moment in the battle between WCW and the NWO. Luger remained a fixture in WCW until its closure in 2001, after which he made sporadic appearances in the industry.
In 2007, he suffered a spinal stroke that left him partially paralyzed. Despite this, he has remained a prominent figure in wrestling circles, often sharing his personal journey of recovery.
.@GenuineLexLuger has overcome challenges his whole career. Not only a champion in WCW and an incredible @WWE Superstar, but he has overcome challenges in life that are truly inspirational. He will now take his place as a member of the 2025 #WWEHOF https://t.co/8ZVlUPHmFq pic.twitter.com/mzLgQsRcOC
