All is well with Strickland and Prince Nana.
On the bill for AEW Revolution was a singles match between Ricochet and Swerve Strickland. The winner of the bout would be deemed the number one contender for the AEW World Championship.
Seated ringside for the match was five-time NBA Champion Michael Cooper, comedian/actor Leslie Jones and comedian/actor Brad Williams. Cameras cut over to Jones multiple times during the match and Nigel McGuinness, unaware of who she was, stated that she was Prince Nana’s mother.
During the match, Strickland shoved Nana to the floor as he was trying to focus on Ricochet. Strickland tried to apologize, but Nana walked out on him.
He returned later in the match to grab the Embassy robe that Ricochet stole from him. Ricochet ended up diving onto Nana to take the robe back and then went over to the front row to talk trash to comedian/actor Ken Jeong.
Strickland ended up putting Ricochet away with ‘Big Pressure’ to become number one contender to the World Championship. Post-match, Strickland got on one knee and presented the Embassy robe to Nana.
