The first title defense for the new champions.
As a result of Bayley being attacked on the Countdown to WrestleMania night one, Lyra Valkyria had to find a new partner to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on night two of WrestleMania 41.
Returning to WWE to team with Valkyria was her fellow Irishwoman Becky Lynch. Lynch last wrestled in May 2024.
Valkyria and Lynch went on to defeat Morgan and Rodriguez to capture the Women’s Tag Team Titles. They’ll be defending their belts on the April 22nd edition of NXT in Las Vegas, Nevada.
At NXT Stand & Deliver, there was a Fatal 4-Way tag match on the pre-show to determine who would be challenging the winners of the Women’s Tag Team Title match. Emerging victorious from the bout were Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin.
Paxley and Dolin are challenging Lynch and Valkyria on 4/22.
