John Cena took his frustration out on R-Truth during the WWE Backlash post-show on Saturday.

The angle happened after WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque took to the press conference desk.

Levesque said the attendance figure for the PLE at the Enterprise Center was 17,155.

He stated that the show was the “highest-grossing domestic Backlash in history,” and that early viewership data was strong.

In answer to a question about running events in St Louis, Levesque talked about the wrestling history of the city, going back to the 1960s and beyond. He felt it was very important to have Cena and Orton meet in the ring for the last time in the city.

Asked about celebrity involvement in the ring, including Logan Paul, Levesque said he did not view Paul as an outsider but as someone who delivers as a consistent performer.

At this point, John Cena appeared, and Levesque left the desk.

Cena said he needed to be better with the media and not patronize those who help the reach of what he does.

He thanked the press for being there and opened the floor to questions.

He was asked about his match with Orton. Before he could answer, R-Truth arrived and said he was proud of Cena, even if people say he sucks and cannot wrestle.

Cena then said, “Ron, that was over the line. If you say one more thing, there will be repercussions.” Truth opened his mouth, and Cena immediately gave him an Attitude Adjustment through the desk.
