AEW commentator Nigel McGuinness is to return to the ring for the first time since December 2024.

The veteran wrestler got involved in helping Daniel Garcia during last week’s edition of AEW Collision when Garcia came under attack by FTR.

On Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, FTR’s manager Stokely Hathaway called McGuinness out, challenging him and Garcia to a match with FTR. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler then attacked.

During Saturday’s airing of Collision, McGuinness confirmed that he would team with Garcia to face FTR at AEW Double or Nothing on May 25th.

McGuinness last wrestled in December 2024, in a loss to Lee Moriarty at ROH Final Battle in a Pure Rules Championship match.
