Master Wato sits on top of the A Block after Tuesday’s show in Gunma.

The 28-year-old headlined Tuesday’s event, defeating Robbie X with Recientemente II, and places him on top of the block with eight points.

It was Robbie X’s first main event, and the pair went over seventeen minutes. X connected with a slingshot cutter onto the edge of the apron and followed with an Escalara Swanton to the floor, but Wato beat the count at nineteen. Wato would rally after blocking the X Express with his knees and hitting his finisher for the pin.

The rest of the block features an eight-way tie between Robbie X, Francesco Akira, Dragon Dia, Hiromu Takahashi, Kosei Fujita, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Clark Connors, and KUSHIDA with six points each.

Ninja Mack is on the bottom with two points.

The Best of the Super Juniors tournament resumes on Thursday with five matches in the B Block when the tour heads to Osaka. The round-robin matches include El Desperado vs. YOH, Nick Wayne vs. Taiji Ishimori, Robbie Eagles vs. Titan, SHO vs. Kevin Knight, and MAO vs. Ryusuke Taguchi.
