The final episode of Collision before Double or Nothing saw the program air against another big night of playoff games.
The May 22 episode was a taped show from Albuquerque, which was moved to a different night and aired on TBS, instead of its usual Saturday night slot on TNT.
The show averaged 353,000 viewers and 108,000 viewers (0.08) in the 18-49 demographic, which ranked outside of the top ten cable programs in prime time on Thursday. This doesn’t include additional viewership on the Max streaming service.
The previous Saturday’s episode averaged 398,000 viewers and 109,000 (0.08) in the 18-49 demographic.
In both 18-49 and 18-34, female viewership increased from Saturday, while males in those two demos saw decreases, which would reflect an impact from the NBA playoffs.
Adults 18-34 averaged 46,000 viewers on Thursday, which was up from 33,000 on Saturday. Adults 35-49 averaged 62,000 viewers, which was a drop from 76,000 on Saturday.
Collision aired against Game 2 of the Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, which attracted 5,156,000 viewers and a 1.61 in the key demo on ESPN. It also aired against Game 2 of the Florida Panthers vs. Carolina Hurricanes, which averaged 1,206,000 viewers and 0.34 on TNT.
Wrestlenomics reported on the quarter-hour breakdown and displayed a major decrease during the quarter when the NBA game began. The game started at 8:39 p.m. ET, and that quarter saw Collision’s viewership drop by 31% and a giant 58% fall in the 18-49 demographic.
Collision also ranked behind three Fox News programs, College Softball on ESPN2, and Top Chef on Bravo.
Next Saturday’s episode of Collision will air on TNT but will be affected by the NBA playoffs and won’t air until the game ends that night, if the Pacers vs. Knicks series goes to a sixth game.
