It’s been over a year seen Omos was seen inside a WWE ring.
The last time Omos wrestled on WWE TV goes back to Wrestlemania weekend in 2024, when he appeared as part of that year’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Before then, his last two broadcast appearances were also in Rumble/battle royal matches. His most recent time working a televised, one-on-one singles match in WWE goes all the way to Backlash 2023.
When will we see him again? Chris Van Vliet asked the seven-foot-three giant himself recently, but wasn’t able to be given much clarity regarding a potential return.
“I don’t know,” Omos said after being asked when he could appear in the ring next. “I’m just waiting. I’m kind of in a scenario where I’m kind of like a special attraction. When that time comes [to be on TV], I’m ready.”
While it’s been more than a year since Omos last wrestled in WWE, he hasn’t been completely away from the ring. He notably had a run in Japanese promotion NOAH early this year, holding the GHC Tag Team Championships alongside Jack Morris and going undefeated through seven matches.
Time abroad was something that helped him amid an absence from WWE TV, Omos recently explained.
“When you’re just waiting, and you gotta stay prepared, sometimes it puts you in this weird space where you just feel like you just train [and] you don’t know for what,” Omos said.
He told Van Vliet that, overall, his month-long excursion was a positive experience.
“It was good for me to just get away,” Omos said. “Get away, wrestle, I had a blast in Japan, and then come back, and I just feel like a new person.”
