The next chapter in a storied rivalry will be written at AEW All In: Texas next month.
Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada will meet at the Globe Life Field on July 12, the promotion announced during Fyter Fest on Wednesday night. The match has a “Winner Takes All” stipulation, meaning that it’s for both Okada’s AEW Continental Championship and Omega’s AEW International Championship.
The matchup was booked after numerous encounters between the two in recent weeks. Okada confronted Omega after his singles win on Wednesday night, causing a brawl to break out.

To say Okada and Omega have a history together would be an understatement. While the two have yet to share the ring for a one-on-one match in AEW, they had a critically acclaimed series of bouts in NJPW previously.
Okada and Omega faced off in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 11 in 2017, putting together a 46-minute match that saw Okada retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. They wrestled in singles action two more times later that year, going to a one-hour time limit draw at Dominion 6.11, and meeting again in the G1 Climax.
Omega and Okada later fought in a one-hour, four-minute best two out of three falls match at NJPW’s 2018 Dominion card, a performance that kicked off Omega’s sole reign with the top IWGP belt.
Overall, the two have shared a ring nearly 70 times since 2015. They were most recently on opposing sides of an eight-man tag on Dynamite earlier this year.
A win for Omega in the next encounter could put an end to Okada’s more than 440-day run as Continental Champion. He has held the title since March 2024 and defended the belt a dozen times in total.
But, The Elite’s Okada could also grab a second belt with a win, ending a reign for Omega which started just under three months ago when he dethroned Konosuke Takeshita.
