Shotzi returns to independents with appearances at Hoodslam & Tournament of Survival

Former WWE talent Shotzi returned to the independent scene over the weekend, including a surprise appearance for GCW.

After her contract wasn’t renewed at WWE, Shotzi left the company after nearly six years and has quickly filled up her calendar.

Her post-WWE career kicked off with a surprise appearance for Hoodslam on Friday night in Oakland, California.

Then, she showed up at GCW’s annual Tournament of Death on Saturday against Matt Tremont and Jimmy Lloyd in the opening round. Shotzi bled throughout the match after being stabbed by a fork, with Tremont advancing to the next round. Afterward, Shotzi stated she was retiring from death matches and only Nick Gage could entice her to have another one.

On Sunday, she shared:

I have been keeping my schedule underwraps, but, looking at everything I have booked for the rest of the year has me crying happy tears! I am so grateful I get to do what I love multiple times a week! The world tour has begun! I will NOT be taking any breaks!

Shotzi has announced upcoming appearances with MLW on June 26, Progress Wrestling on June 29, Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling on July 5 in Montreal, Starrcast in Texas, and GCW’s tour of Japan in late July.
