Jade Cargill got the better of Asuka at WWE Night of Champions to become Queen of the Ring.

Cargill, a SmackDown talent, will now get a title match for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. That title is currently held by Tiffany Stratton.

Asuka got the better of the early going, successfully landing high-paced strikes, with Cargill selling a hurt knee.

Cargill then transitioned to power moves, driving Asuka into the mat and buckles.

After a 50:50 period, the finish came with Jade catching Asuka’s attempt at the Empress Impact and delivering Jaded for the win.

She told Byron Saxton after the match that “a storm is coming to SummerSlam”.
