If there was any doubt, John Cena has confirmed when his last match will occur this year.
While promoting this week’s release of “Heads of State”, Cena stated that his final match is set for “mid-December” but they are still trying to find a place to do it.
Cena noted they are halfway through the farewell tour with fifteen dates left and called it “a lot of compelling TV”.
The Undisputed WWE Champion has wrestled eight times this year, most recently in Saudi Arabia, where he beat CM Punk at Night of Champions. He is currently slated to defend the title against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam in August at MetLife Stadium.
Cena’s next advertised date is on July 18 for Friday Night SmackDown in San Antonio, Texas, and on August 1 for SmackDown in Newark, New Jersey.
Cena is also being advertised for Clash in Paris, Crown Jewel Perth, and the Survivor Series.
