Trish Stratus reflected on her latest match, noting that it’s possible it could be her last.

While appearing on the WWE Evolution post-show with the panel, Stratus was asked by Jackie Redmond whether she had the thought that the match with Tiffany Stratton could have been the last one.

“I have that thought, I’m like, is this the last time? Like, it could be”, she said.

Stratus, who signed with WWE in 1999 without any previous wrestling experience, grew to become one of the top female talents of that era. Her rise coincided with a greater emphasis on women’s wrestling alongside Lita, Jazz, Jacqueline, Victoria, and Molly Holly, among others, and the behind-the-scenes work of Fit Finlay and Lance Storm.

Stratus first retired in September 2006, at the age of thirty, but has made multiple returns over the past nineteen years.

During that period, she wrestled at WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta, was in the first women’s Royal Rumble match, on the first Evolution card, and had a match with Charlotte Flair in Toronto at SummerSlam six years ago.

In 2023, she embarked on a heel run working against Becky Lynch, culminating with a steel cage match at Payback that year.

This was Stratus’ third match this year following an appearance in the Royal Rumble and teaming with Stratton against Nia Jax & Candice LeRae at Elimination Chamber in March.
