A group out of Portland has canceled a booking for Joey Ryan.

Ryan (real name Joseph Meehan) was announced by a group called Portland Wrestling for a show on August 23 in Vancouver, Washington.

Ryan was named by many accusers during Speaking Out in 2020, which led to Impact Wrestling dropping Ryan, and he stopped wrestling.

Another local group, Prestige Wrestling, immediately announced a show titled “FJC” to run against Portland Wrestling’s event on the same night, and promoting it as “A Night of Safe Space Professional Wrestling Action”.

After lots of backlash to the news, Portland Wrestling announced on Tuesday that it had canceled Ryan’s flight and wouldn’t be appearing on the August 23 event. It is unknown if Portland Wrestling will still run the show that night.

Prestige Wrestling posted an update about their show and where the proceeds will be donated.
