Seth Rollins, Champion No More

Raw from Sacramento kicked off with Adam Pearce in the ring beginning to say he was ther eto provide an update on Seth Rollins when The Vision arrived at the arena, carrying Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. Pearce revealed that because of The Brons, Rollins had surgery and was stripped of the championship. Pearce continued, saying that CM Punk would face the winner of a Battle Royal tonight and the title match would occur at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Paul Heyman got on the mic and wondered why everyone was so mad at them. Heyman said that Seth Rollins was not a visionary but a “bum shoulder bitch”.

Backstage, The Judgment Day were hyping themselves for their matches later tonight but Dominik wondered if Finn and JD could take care of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. Roxanne Perez consoled Dom after Finn and JD stormed off.

World Tag Team Championship

The first match of the evening was The Judgment Day taking on AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. The announcers made a big deal as the match began that Balor and McDonagh hadn’t defended their titles in months. Dragon Lee worked from underneath for the first portion of the match, eventually getting the hot tag to Styles but was taken out nearly immediately by McDonagh. After a commercial break, Lee got the hot tag and took it to the Champions. Styles then got a big near fall after a Phenomenal Forearm on Finn Balor. Balor then hit the Coup de Graces for another near fall. Styles then reveresed a Balor Styles Clash to hit his own for the win.

Backstage, Jey admitted Jimmy that he was mad at himself for messing up again like he did in Paris. Jimmy stopped him and said that Roman Reigns wasn’t there but they were both in the Battle Royal tonight.

Intercontinental Championship

From one title match to another, next was Dominik Mysterio defending his Intercontinental Championship against Rusev. Dirty Dom jumped Rusev before the bell, attempting to gain an early advantage but Rusev quickly turned things around. Rusev dominated through the ad break, hitting the Matchka Kick and then setting up for the Accolade. Dom was able to escape the ring and grab his titles when Penta appeared from nowhere. Rusev then threw Dom into Penta. Rusev then nailed Penta and Dom attempted to hit the 619 with the timekeeper’s hammer in his boot but was caught. Dom hit a lowblow on Rusev behind the referee’s back and hit the 619 and a Frog Splash for the win. After the match, Penta hit a springboard DDT on Rusev and pointed at Dom indicating it wasn’t over between them.

Intercontinental Championship

Next was the other Intercontinental Championship with Becky Lynch defending against Maxxine Dupri. Wade Barrett noted that Sacramento was Maxxine’s hometown and that Becky Lynch must be reeling from Seth Rollins’ needing to have surgery and relinquish his title. The referee for this match was Jessica Carr, noteworthy for her fast count on Lynch the last time these two faced each other. Lynch dominated the early goings and through the commercial break but Maxxine started mounting a comeback afterwards. Maxxine managed to reverse out of a Disarmher and apply an Ankle Lock. Becky then grabbed her title and began to leave but Maxxine threw her back into the ring. Becky then nailed Maxxine with the belt, getting the disqualification. Becky continued the beatdown, leaving Maxxine laying.

A Kaubki Warriors promo video aired running down Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky and saying they had to pay. Suddenly, they pivoted saying they needed a new challenge and put the Tag Team division on notice.

Backstage, Paul Heyman approached Adam Pearce who said that The Brons were out of the Battle Royal. Becky Lynch then got in Heyman’s face and Heyman said he tried to get between The Brons and Rollins but he had no choice. Becky said that she never liked him and Seth knew that Heyman was going to turn on him. She concluded by saying “whatever Nepo Baby you attach yourself to next, he’s going to kill them. He’s not going to kill you, but you’ll wish he had.”

Stephanie Vaquer vs. Roxanne Perez

Next was WWE Women’s and Crown Jewel (belt not shown) Champion Stephanie Vaquer taking on Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez. Perez had Raquel Rodriguez in her corner and expectedly, the heels cheated behind the referee’s back. Perez worked over Vaquer’s wrist and arm with Vaquer eventually gaining control, hitting the Devil’s Kiss. Perez then almost took a scary spill to the outside but was thankfully caught by Rodriguez. Vaquer then hit the Angel’s Wings for the win. Rodriguez and Perez attacked Vaquer after the match but Nikki Bella made the save. Vaquer attempted to join in but flubbed a jump from the top rope, seeming to hurt her wrist or her knee or both.

Later backstage, Nikki Bella warned Stephanie Vaquer that she had a target on her back.

Backstage, Lyra Valkyria was speaking with Adam Pearce and explaining that her and Bayley were different people. Bayley interrupted and said she had a surprise for Lyra’s birthday next week.

The Brons were backstage and Breakker was upset that they were out of the Battle Royal. Heyman started talking about his previous clients in Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns and how they all listened to him.

#1 Contenders Battle Royal

The main event of the evening was the Battle Royal to determine who would go on to face CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. For some reason, multiple wrestlers who had already performed earlier in the night (Balor, McDonagh, Rusev, AJ Styles, Dragon Lee) were also in this match – as if they didn’t have other roster members who could participate. Jey Uso also Yeeted with a baby on his way to the ring.

CM Punk joined the commentary desk as the match began with Otis and Ivar facing off. Shortly thereafter, Otis was dumped over the top by Rusev. Rusev then tossed Tozawa out followed by the Judgment Day eliminating Dragon Lee. Dirty Dom then knocked both Penta and Rusev off the apron simultaneously. In the ad break, The Usos teamed up to eliminate Grayson Waller.

From there, Sheamus took out Ivar, The Usos thew El Grande Americano out, Sheamus eliminated Balor and McDonagh and Kofi Kingston eliminated Sheamus. Judgment Day and Sheamus started brawling at ringside, distracting the referees and AJ Styles threw out Dominik but since the refs were busy, he snuck back into the match.

After the commercial, AJ Styles threw Kofi Kingston out, and Jimmy saved Jey from elimination for the third time in the match. Jimmy Uso then eliminated AJ Styles and Jey took an oppotunity to eliminated both Knight and Jimmy together. This left just Dominik and Jey and Jey swiftly backdropped Dom out to win. Jimmy Uso was irate outside the ring as Jey celebrated. The show ended with CM Punk and Jey Uso facing off with Jimm lingering in the background.
