The Super Jr. Tag League continued Friday with four teams extending their records to 2-0 after the first two nights.
For the second night in a row, Korakuen Hall was the host of the Super Jr. Tag League with an attendance of 1,058.

The A Block is led by IWGP Jr. Heavyweight tag champs SHO & DOUKI, and YOH & Master Wato, as both teams earned wins on Friday and are entering the weekend with 2-0 records. The B Block has a similar result as last year’s winners; Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles are unbeaten and tied with KUSHIDA & Yuki Yoshioka.
Friday’s main event saw House of Torture’s SHO & DOUKI defeat Ryusuke Taguchi & Dragon Dia. After a ref bump, SHO utilized a steel plate to attack Taguchi, which led to the pin by DOUKI.
Last year’s tournament winners, the Ichiban Sweet Boys of Eagles & Fujita, beat Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Dick Togo with Fujti using the Kami Special to submit Togo.
El Desperado & KUUKAI earned their first points of the tournament, beating YAMATO & Tiger Mask when the five-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight champion used the El Es Culero to pin Tiger Mask.
The tournament continues with shows on Saturday in Saitama, and shows on Sunday & Tuesday in Niigata. There will be six round-robin shows over the next eight days, with the finals on November 2 in Gifu at the Tanahashi Final Homecoming event.
