AEW’s Thunder Rosa believes she’ll be back in the ring sooner than later.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been out of the ring since July, with her last appearance taking place during the women’s casino gauntlet match at All In: Texas 2025.
Rosa noted shortly after her All In bout that she was taking some time off following the appearance. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had reported that she had suffered an injury.
During an appearance at the Big Texas ComicCon recently, Rosa mentioned that she believes her absence from the ring will come to an end soon.
“Right now I’m just focusing on continuing my rehab for the injuries that I just had a couple of months ago,” Rosa told Midnight Movie Trash. “I have really good news, everything’s going really well, so I’m expecting to return to the ring very soon.”
Lengthy breaks from in-ring action have, unfortunately, happened to Rosa before. She notably relinquished her AEW title reign following a back injury in 2022, which kept her off TV for over a year’s time.
However, comments from Rosa recently indicate that her current time away from the ring won’t be anywhere near as long.
