Liv Morgan is back and already shaking things up.
Morgan, who spent a significant chunk of 2025 out of the ring due to injury, made her long-awaited return as part of Saturday night’s Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event (PLE) at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
The former women’s world champ helped Dominik Mysterio take down John Cena in their rematch, beginning his second reign with the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Morgan was the big reveal after a match full of run-ins, hitting the ring while the referee was down and out. While she initially punched Mysterio after getting into the ring, it became clear moments later that the strike was a cover, as she went over to then kick Cena in the crotch.
Mysterio then hit Cena with a 619, Morgan struck Cena in the head with the IC title, then Mysterio sealed the deal with a frogsplash for the pinfall victory in 16 minutes.
Judgment Day members Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh all attacked Cena earlier in the match as well.
Mysterio performed an injury fake-out early in the match after a failed hurricanrana at ringside, distracting the referee and allowing both Perez and Rodriguez to hit their finishers on Cena. McDonagh and Balor’s run-in backfired, as the duo was hit with a double-Attitude Adjustment from Cena.
Cena grabbed the Intercontinental Championship earlier this month, defeating Mysterio on Monday Night Raw. Cena later granted Mysterio a rematch for this weekend.
Morgan had been off TV since June, when she suffered a dislocated shoulder against Kairi Sane, causing a sudden end to their match on Raw.
Saturday night was Cena’s final in-ring appearance on a WWE PLE or pay-per-view card. He wrestled over 170 matches on WWE PLEs and PPVs throughout his career, per database Cagematch.net.
