Chris Jericho won’t specify where he will go specifically, but the wrestling veteran says he’s “pretty sure” he’ll be back in the ring next year.

55-year-old Jericho, who is currently listed as a member of the AEW roster, has been absent from the promotion’s programming for a large portion of 2025. Instead, Jericho has spent a lot of the year focused on his music career, touring with Fozzy and his KISS cover band, Kuarantine.

There has been tons of speculations regarding where Jericho will emerge when he eventually returns to wrestling. Will he continue his run with AEW, or return to WWE for the first time since 2018? These questions have only been fueled by comments from Jericho, including a quote from earlier this year when the former World Heavyweight Champion said he “wasn’t opposed” to a WWE return.

When asked about his future in wrestling during a recent interview on WBSM 1420 AM, Jericho said that he expects to be back in the ring next year.

“You never know, man,” Jericho said when asked about his wrestling future. “That’s the thing. I’m not done yet, so, [I’m] still figuring out everything and I’ll see where I end up. I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.”

AEW’s Tony Khan has expressed interest in bringing back Jericho, saying in a recent interview that “We’d always want to have [him] here.”

Jericho’s current AEW contract reportedly runs through December 2025.
