The stakes have been raised for MARIGOLD’s upcoming Korakuen Hall card.
Monday’s show from the Joshi promotion (which is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. ET this evening) will include a world title matchup with an added title-versus-hair stipulation.
MARIGOLD World Champion Miku Aono was originally scheduled to face tag champ CHIAKI in a non-title clash as part of Sunday’s show in Tokyo. However, after a heated press conference earlier this week, it became a much more important bout.

Aono will wager her title as part of the upcoming card, and CHIAKI, if she loses, will lose her hair.
Aono is MARIGOLD’s third-ever world champ, earning the title back in October after dethroning Utami Hayashishita. It would be a significant upset if she loses to CHIAKI, who is an accomplished tag wrestler but someone without any notable singles success in her career thus far.
MARIGOLD is one of the many Japanese promotions putting on an event on Monday, as the country will be on holiday for The Emperor’s Birthday. NJPW, AJPW, NOAH and STARDOM are also presenting shows over the next 24 hours as well.
