Booker T. weighed in on this past week’s WrestleMania interactions with fans in Las Vegas and cited a need for better security to protect the performers and talent.

On Booker’s Hall of Fame podcast, he spoke about his own experiences of being hounded by fans at the host hotel and the need for better security, given the volume of fans having easy access to the performers.

Walking through the MGM Grand, we needed some better security. It was really hard. I can only imagine what the superstars, the guys that are actually going out there and doing it in the ring, how it felt for them, because I got mobbed and I’m not even doing this anymore. Hopefully, we can get that fixed.

The discussion continued involving the incident involving CM Punk striking the phone of a fan taking a photo. Booker commented on one extreme situation where a fan began filming inside a bathroom.

They (fans) were camped out. They followed me in the bathroom. A guy was literally filming me in the bathroom, and when I walked out, he goes, ‘Hey, Booker,’ and I just kept walking because I was mad because he was filming me in the bathroom.

It was the toughest time I think I’ve ever had to deal with as far as the fan interaction this year at WrestleMania in Las Vegas. A lot of them were just outright disrespectful.

Multiple stories have emerged from the week of talent being swarmed by fans. One of the logistical issues with the hotel was being part of a casino and, therefore, could not be placed on lockdown to isolate the talent.
