The UFC has formalized a multi-year agreement in Azerbaijan to run annual Fight Night cards in the country over the next two years.
The promotion has entered an agreement with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Baku City Circuit Operations Company (BCC) to run one Fight Night event per year through 2028. The deal will kick off with a card on Saturday, June 27, at the National Gymnastics Arena.
The UFC debuted in Baku last June at Baku Crystal Hall, headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Khalil Rountree, Jr. and Jamahal Hill.
Last month, POST Wrestling reported that WWE’s internal schedule listed Night of Champions for the same day, June 27, in Saudi Arabia. We reported that the date is in question due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
