Mr. Iguana will return to NXT next week to help mixed tag partner Lola Vice take down some rivals.
NXT Women’s Champion Vice and Mr. Iguana will team up to take on Izzi Dame and Niko Vance of The Culling as part of the May 5 episode of WWE NXT from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Vice has been feuding with Dame in recent weeks in a rivalry which will likely culminate in a title match sometime down the line. While Dame and her Culling teammates attempted a sneak attack on Vice this week, Vice received backup from Mr. Iguana, who emerged from under the ring to help chase off the heel faction.
Vice and Mr. Iguana have been teaming up since last December and currently hold the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships. They notably won’t be defending the titles in next week’s grudge match.
Along with the mixed tag bout, a pair of singles matchups have been confirmed for next week.
Recent NXT arrival Kali Armstrong wants to put the women’s division on notice, and has started by calling out Jaida Parker for a fight. How will the former EVOLVE Women’s Champion do in her first major matchup since joining the brand?
On the men’s side of things, The Vanity Project’s Jackson Drake will go head-to-head with Jasper Troy, a match that was made after Troy confronted Drake in a lobby on Tuesday.
