The UFC has announced that Conor McGregor will make his return to the Octagon against Max Holloway for International Fight Week.

The welterweight encounter is scheduled to headline the UFC 329 pay-per-view on July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC President Dana White announced the main event on Saturday. The July 11 card will serve as the centerpiece of the promotion’s annual International Fight Week and will stream on Paramount+.

McGregor has not competed since July 2021 when he suffered a fractured tibia during a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. The 37-year-old was previously scheduled to fight Michael Chandler in June 2024 but withdrew due to a broken toe. He recently completed an 18-month suspension for whereabouts failures under the UFC anti-doping policy.

The upcoming matchup would mark the second time McGregor and Holloway have crossed paths. McGregor secured a unanimous decision victory over Holloway during their initial featherweight meeting in August 2013. Holloway recently suffered a unanimous decision loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326 in March.

The undercard features the promotional debut of Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson. The 25-year-old, who transitioned to mixed martial arts after a brief stint with WWE, currently holds a 3–0 professional record and will face Elisha Ellison. Paddy Pimblett is also slated to fight Benoit Saint-Denis during the event.
