Titán extended his record to 5-0 and moved to ten points by defeating Ryusuke Taguchi in the latter’s best match of the tournament. Taguchi turned it up after hitting the Bum a Ye and going for the ankle lock and attempting the Dodon without success. Titán flew through the ropes on a running clothesline toward the corner, hit a double stomp, and secured the submission victory with Llave Inmortal. Titán is the only participant in either block without a loss and the current point leader.
The main event saw Master Wato pick up two points against Kosei Fujita in the longest tournament match on Friday. They fought on the floor with Fujita springboarding off a chair to send Wato flying into a sea of seats. Fujita used Wato’s Recientemente II for a two-count. Wato’s comeback saw him take off Fujita’s head with a lariat and hit Recientemente II for a two-count, and ended the match with the Tsutenkaku German Suplex Hold, moving to 3-2 with six points as he attempts to repeat as BOSJ winner.
Jun Kasai and Robbie X turned in a great performance, and Kasai dialed it up for this one with a mixture of their styles. The first half was full of weapons with multiple chairs, a ladder, and a fork incorporated. Referee Marty Asami was knocked down, leading to the ladder usage, where X missed the X Express off the ladder. Kasai hit a sick-looking head butt, knocking X off the ladder, and hit a splash off the very top of the ladder. Asami would not count when he observed the ladder placed in the corner. X kicked out at one after Kasai’s running lariat but fell to the Reverse Tiger Driver, and Kasai added two points after a really entertaining match.
Francesco Akira beat Valiente Jr. after adjusting the Luchador’s mask. They had a misfire during a springboard by Valiente Jr. and Akira, attempting to cut it off with a dropkick, and mistimed it. When Akira grabbed the mask, he caught Valiente Jr. with the Crown Fall (cross-legged cradle) for the pin.
Nick Wayne beat Daiki Nagai in the shortest block match of the day. Nagai has been very entertaining to watch as he goes at full speed for the short match time and gets multiple hope spots before crashing and burning. In this one, he attempted the diving head butt (his new finisher) and was caught in mid-air by a cutter and struck by Wayne’s World and lost.
