This weekend’s wrestling schedule includes the reveal of this year’s NJPW Best of the Super Junior winner, women’s title action in America, Japan, and England, a deathmatch tradition returning to New Jersey, more Noche de los Grandes action in Mexico, and much more. Here are 10 notable wrestling events taking place over the next three days, plus when and where to catch them.

Friday

NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Night 13 / 5:30 a.m. ET / NJPW World

NJPW’s top annual junior heavyweight tournament, Best of the Super Juniors, will wrap up this weekend with two more shows. The 20-man tournament has been narrowed down to just four wrestlers, who will compete in a single-elimination bracket over the next three days to figure out who earns the trophy.

The final four includes two potential first-time tour winners, as well as a pair of talents looking to repeat. Today’s semi-final action (which can be watched on replay right now) sees defending tournament winner Kosei Fujita battle with TMDK junior vet Robbie Eagles, and 2023 winner Master Wato locking up with former tag specialist turned singles talent YOH. Will it be younger names Wato or Fujita who once again prove their relevance, or will a new name rise to the top of the division this weekend?

  • Tatsuya Matsumoto & Valiente Jr. vs. Taisei Nakahara & Tiger Mask
  • Masatora Yasuda & Yuya Uemura vs. Hartley Jackson & Ryohei Oiwa
  • Jun Kasai & Nick Wayne vs. Gedo & Titan
  • Daisuke Sasaki & Dick Togo vs. El Desperado & Hyo
  • Aaron Wolf, KUSHIDA, Ryusuke Taguchi & Toru Yano vs. Ren Narita, SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi
  • Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, Jakob Austin Young & Zane Jay vs. Daiki Nagai, Robbie X, Taiji Ishimori & Yota Tsuji
  • Robbie Eagles vs. Kosei Fujita (Best of the Super Juniors Semi-Final)
  • YOH vs. Master Wato (Best of the Super Juniors Semi-Final)

EVE 150: History Makers / Rule Breakers / 2 p.m. ET / Youtube

British women’s wrestling brand EVE will go live this afternoon from London with “History Makers / Rule Breakers.” While there are numerous intriguing matchups here, including AEW’s Kris Statlander taking on Miyu Yamashita and Session Moth Martina defending her EVE Championship for the first time, my focus is mainly on Molly Spartan’s surprise opponent.

EVE is teasing that Spartan will face a former WWE champion who is making their return to the promotion. This description has made many guess it’ll be Kay Lee Ray (formerly Alba Fyre), returning to the indies for the first time in years. Is that what will happen? We’re just hours away from finding out.

  • Kris Statlander vs. Miyu Yamashita (EVE International Championship)
  • Molly Spartan vs. ???
  • Rhio vs. Aliss Ink
  • Hollie Barlow & Lana Austin vs. Cory Zero & JGU (EVE Tag Team Championships)
  • Melissa Fierce vs. Emersyn Jayne vs. Lucy Sky
  • Skye Smitson & Violet Nyte vs. Relentless All-Stars
  • Session Moth Martina vs. Alexxis Falcon (EVE Championship)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network

The Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy will play host to today’s episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, covering the last bit of fallout following last Sunday’s Clash in Italy Premium Live Event (PLE). While nothing has been announced for tonight’s show, I’ll take a guess and say we’ll hear Cody Rhodes for the first time since successfully defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Gunther, and we’ll also get a comment from Rhea Ripley after defeating Jade Cargill for the second time.

Note: While Smackdown will air at its usual 8 p.m. ET start time on the USA Network, international viewers who get the show via Netflix will be able to view the taping live at 2 p.m. ET.

Saturday

AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT

AEW’s women’s division will get the spotlight tomorrow night when a live edition of Collision takes place from the Covelli Center in Youngstown, Ohio.

The main attraction of the night will see the TayJay duo attempt to dethrone AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions the Divine Dominion. Anna Jay and Tay Melo survived a five-minute time limit match against Lena Kross and Megan Bayne last week, securing them the title opportunity they have tomorrow night. While that performance was a clear sign that they’re able to step up to the champs, they’ll have to do much more this week in order to capture the gold.

Collision will also feature an international showdown as part of the ongoing Owen Hart tournament, as Women’s CMLL Champion Persephone will square off with Hazuki.

  • Persephone vs. Hazuki (Women’s Owen Hart Tournament Quarter-Final)
  • Megan Bayne & Lena Kross vs. Tay Melo & Anna Jay (AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships)

AAA Noche de Los Grandes Week 2 / 10 p.m. ET / Youtube

The second week of AAA’s Noche de los Grandes special will air tomorrow night, following up on the electric opening episode, which saw the El Grande Americanos face off in a mask-versus-mask match. Whether it be AAA or NXT, whenever WWE does a two-week TV special, the second week tends to be significantly less notable. With no title matchups set for tomorrow’s show, that’s definitely the case here. However, the one-hour broadcast has a pair of fun matches nonetheless: Recent AAA arrival La Catalina will team with Bayley and Lola Vice, and what should be a hectic five-way match involving Octagon Jr., Lince Dorado and others will go down.

  • La Catalina, Bayley & Lola Vice vs. Flammer, Lady Maravilla & La Hiedra
  • Joaquin Wilde vs. Lince Dorado vs. Octagon Jr. vs. Cruz Del Toro vs. Mini Vikingo

TJPW Stand Alone ’26 / 10 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

Joshi brand TJPW will head to Korakuen Hall this weekend for Stand Alone ’26, featuring a triple-header of title matchups at the top of the card. The main event will see Yuki Kamifuku attempt to earn her first singles TJPW title in over five years, taking on Yuki Arai for the Princess of Princess Championship. Earlier in the night, former top champ Mizuki will team with up-and-comer Uta Takami, attempting to take down the overpowered duo of Miu Watanabe and Rika Tatsumi for the company’s tag titles. It’s not one of TJPW’s bigger events of the year, but it could be some fun late-night action on Saturday, if you’re craving that.

  • Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao vs. Raku & Pom Harajuku vs. HIMAWARI & Mifu Ashida
  • Yuki Aino, Ren Konatsu & Shion Kanzaki vs. Arisu Endo, Sakura Hattori & Kira Summer
  • Wakana Uehara vs. Toga
  • YuuRI vs. Chika Nanase
  • MIRAI vs. Haru Kazeshiro
  • Suzume vs. Mahiro Kiryu (TJPW International Princess Championship)
  • Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi vs. Mizuki & Uta Takami (TJPW Princess Tag Team Championships)
  • Yuki Arai vs. Yuki Kamifuku (TJPW Princess of Princess Championship)

Sunday

NJPW Best of the Super Juniors Night 14 / 4 a.m. ET / NJPW World

The final night of NJPW Best of the Super Juniors action will go down Sunday, when the company heads to Ota City General Gymnasium in Tokyo. The finalists for this show were determined on this morning’s show!

  • 2026 Best of the Super Juniors Final

Here are a few other options for this weekend…

  • After spending a few weeks on the sidelines due to a knee injury, CMLL top dog Mistico will return tonight in the main event of an Arena Mexico card. Back in the lineup for the first time since mid-May, Mistico will work alongside his El Sky Team allies, Mascara Dorada and Neon, to face Zandokan Jr. Difunto and Furia Roja (CMLL Youtube)
  • Deathmatch fans will have their hands full this weekend, as GCW has a busy schedule of events set for the next few days. The 11th-ever Tournament of Survival one-night deathmatch bracket will take place on Saturday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This year’s eight-person bracket includes FREEDOMS/BJW vet Masashi Takeda, Vipress, Dr. Redacted, and, surprisingly, Jonathan Gresham! GCW also has the “Cage of Survival” event set for Sunday, and will stream their annual Deathmatch Hall of Fame as well. (TrillerTV+)
  • German promotion wXw’s Drive of Champions card this Saturday looks neat. The Oberhausen-based card includes a pair of long-time returns: Eddie Kingston will wrestle in wXw for the first time since 2020 when he takes on Peter Tihanyi, and puroresu legend Jun Akiyama will compete in Germany for the first time since 2005, more than two decades, when he teams with Ahura to face 1 Called Manders and Thomas Shire. Those are just a couple of the many reasons to check out their show, which could be some solid mid-day action for viewers in North America. (wXw Youtube).
