Sheriff’s Department releases details on death of Jatwane Anton Wilson, brother of AEW’s Maya World

Jatwane Anton Wilson, the brother of AEW performer Maya World, was killed after being struck by a vehicle this past week.

The death of Wilson was mentioned before Maya World’s match with Skye Blue this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite.

The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Department in Texas reported that the 25-year-old was standing outside of his disabled vehicle on State Highway 205 and entered a lane of traffic when a Mercedes SUV hit him.

Wilson was killed at the scene, while the driver was uninjured.

Maya World (Ashanti Wilson) posted on X, “My brother is the reason I watched wrestling for the first time ever. we were just one year apart, everything I do in my career from here in out will be in his memory. god rest his soul. I’m living my dream because of him.”

Maya World dedicated her match with Blue to her late brother and advanced to the semi-final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Dashundra Wilson, the older sister of Jatwane, has started a GoFundMe campaign with Tony Khan, Will Ospreay, Mick Foley, Bayley, Royce Keys, and Renee Paquette among those to donate, so far.
