AEW Collision 6/13/26 Results: Thekla will defend against Starlight Kid at Forbidden Door, Hikaru Shida and Persephone advance to Survival of the Fittest

Starlight Kid will challenge Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door.

The announcement was made during the June 13 episode of AEW Collision from Cincinnati, Ohio. The “Summer Blockbuster” special also featured the Death Riders prevailing in a violent Cincinnati Street Fight, while Hikaru Shida and Persephone advanced to the Survival of the Fittest match for the vacant TBS Championship.

Kenny Omega vs. Bad Dude Tito

Kenny Omega faced Bad Dude Tito, a representative of The Mighty Don’t Kneel (TMDK), in his first singles match since AEW Dynasty. Tito controlled portions of the match with his power, executing an exploder suplex for a near-fall. Omega countered Tito’s momentum with a V-Trigger and a snap dragon suplex. He then hit another V-Trigger followed by the One-Winged Angel to secure the pinfall.

Omega accepts the challenge

Kenny Omega delivered a post-match promo addressing Zack Sabre Jr.’s recent challenge. He praised Sabre as one of the best technical wrestlers in the world, comparing him to Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness. Omega accepted the match for Forbidden Door, stating it was his path to reclaiming his position as the best in the world before targeting MJF for the AEW World Championship.

The Callis Family targets Takeshita

Kyle Fletcher expressed frustration over Konosuke Takeshita costing Mark Davis his spot in the Owen Hart Cup. Fletcher vowed to bring the AEW International Championship back to the Don Callis Family. Kazuchika Okada agreed, though he implied that he would be the one to dethrone Takeshita.

Hikaru Shida vs. Zayda Steel

Hikaru Shida and Zayda Steel competed in a Survival of the Fittest qualifying match. Steel demonstrated her agility with a top suicida and an enziguri, but Shida’s experience proved decisive. Shida executed a modified Falcon Arrow before applying a new knee stretch submission hold to force the tap out. Shida slapped Steel after the match, refusing to break the hold until Christopher Daniels intervened.

Bowens demands respect

Anthony Bowens and HOOK discussed their status within The Opps during a backstage interview. Bowens claimed Samoa Joe taught him to embrace violence and stated they deserved applause. HOOK rebuked Bowens, asserting that The Opps care only about destroying their opponents. HOOK warned Bowens not to act like a leader and instructed Lexy Nair to address only him when interviewing the group. Katsuyori Shibata stood by HOOK during the tense exchange.

The Rascalz vs. Aaron & Austin Atlas

The Rascalz made quick work of Aaron and Austin Atlas in tag team action. Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier secured the victory after hitting the Hot Fire Flame. Following the match, they introduced their stablemate, Myron Reed, ahead of his championship opportunity.

Kevin Knight vs. Myron Reed

Kevin Knight defended the TNT Championship against Myron Reed. Reed showcased his athleticism with a running cutter from the ramp into the ring and a springboard 450 splash for a near-fall. Knight utilized a ringside distraction from Don Callis to regain control. He ultimately countered Reed’s momentum with a dropkick and a sidewalk slam to retain the title.

Divine Dominion issues a warning

Divine Dominion delivered a promo warning the women’s division that nobody had the courage to challenge them. Megan Bayne and Lena Kross claimed their opponents’ hell is their heaven.

Athena vs. Tiara James

Athena faced Tiara James in singles competition. James surprised Athena with several roll-up attempts early on. Athena then took control and forced James to submit to the Koji Clutch.

Athena continued to attack James after the bell, prompting Maya World to make the save. However, when World turned to check on James, Athena ambushed her and slammed her face into the mat. Athena shouted that it was her time to win the Owen Hart Cup, not World’s.

Ricochet demands an International shot

Ricochet delivered a backstage promo reflecting on his recent successes and failures, notably losing the AEW National Championship in the Blackjack Battle Royal. He then turned his attention to Konosuke Takeshita, issuing a challenge for the AEW International Championship.

The Dogs vs. The Young Bucks

The match featured intense back-and-forth action, with the Bucks nearly winning after hitting the BTE Trigger on Clark Connors. David Finlay broke up the pinfall and struck Matt Jackson with his shillelagh behind the referee’s back. Connors then speared Nick Jackson through the ropes, allowing The Dogs to execute their Full Clip double-team maneuver on Matt for the victory.

Conglomeration confident

The Conglomeration expressed excitement about Mark Briscoe’s upcoming world title shot. They predicted that the next champion would be from Sandy Fork, Delaware.

Thekla spits on Stardom’s legacy

Tony Schiavone attempted to apologize on behalf of AEW for Thekla’s recent actions against Stardom. Thekla interrupted and demanded he help her onto the announce desk. She refused to apologize, claiming she did Stardom a favor by spitting on their logo and bringing them attention.

Thekla then spat into her hand and wiped it on Schiavone’s jacket. She issued an open challenge to Stardom, inviting them to send their best wrestler to Forbidden Door and offering to buy their president a front-row ticket.

Bang Bang Gang invests in the future

The Bang Bang Gang revealed they used their recent $200,000 winnings to open a neutering clinic for lost dogs. They promised to “snip” The Dogs.

Persephone vs. Julia Hart

Persephone and Julia Hart competed in the second Survival of the Fittest qualifying match. Hart targeted Persephone’s injured eye throughout the contest. In the closing moments, Hart attempted to spit black mist, but Persephone slapped it away, causing Hart to mist the canvas. Persephone then executed a crucifix bomb to win the match.

Starlight Kid answers the call

AEW aired a highlight package announcing that Stardom’s Starlight Kid would challenge Thekla for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door. In a subsequent interview, Thekla stated she hated Starlight Kid with a passion and promised to leave her for dead, ensuring it would be her first and last time in AEW.

Jake Doyle vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey

Jake Doyle faced “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Kevin Knight joined commentary to taunt Bailey during the match. Doyle utilized his power advantage, hitting a deadlift fallaway suplex for a near-fall. Bailey rallied with a tornado kick and attempted the Ultima Weapon, but Doyle rolled out of the way. Doyle then hit a powerbomb to secure the upset victory.

The Death Riders vs. Shane Taylor Promotions

The Death Riders and Shane Taylor Promotions clashed in a brutal Cincinnati Street Fight to close the show. The violence began before the bell, with STP attacking The Death Riders outside the arena.

The match featured numerous chaotic moments, including Shane Taylor powerbombing Jon Moxley through a table and Claudio Castagnoli dropping Lee Moriarty through the timekeeper’s table while applying an octopus stretch.

STP removed Marina Shafir’s boots and slammed her feet-first into a pile of thumbtacks, glass, and toy soldiers.

However, Shafir recovered and kicked Trish Adora in the face with her glass-covered foot. The Death Riders eventually gained the upper hand, delivering a series of corner attacks on Taylor. Moxley then hit the Paradigm Shift into the pile of debris to win the match.
