Mike Santana has provided comment on his future in wrestling.

It’s no secret that TNA World Champion Santana is set to be a free agent this summer, with some reports indicating that his deal with the company could come due by next month.

Free agency is reportedly emerging at a great time for Santana, more than six months into a massive title run, and two years deep in a TNA campaign that has seen him reinvent himself and become the face of a promotion. The momentum has made him a name that WWE has reportedly shown interest in signing.

Santana won’t give away any secrets about what’s next for him, of course. But he was able to provide some insight into how he’s feeling about the future of his career during a recent interview with Celebrate Wrestling’s Mike McGuire.

“I’m thankful for the opportunity that TNA gave the last two years, as far as being able to reinvent myself and rebuild myself and, man, just looking back on these last two years I’ve been able to accomplish a lot of things and do a lot of great things and I don’t take it for granted. Being a part of why the company is where we’re at today and having this new TV deal and being on the forefront of that, it feels great and it’s something that I take very serious. As far as the future goes man like, I’m the type that growth is part of my life, and I feel like if there’s an opportunity for me to grow then that’s what I’m gonna do, right? Whether it’s at TNA [or] anywhere, for me, if you’re not growing in this business, then what are you doing? If you’re not trying to progress in this business, what are you doing? At the end of the day, I need to show my daughter that there’s levels to this. And also, my Dad used to always say, ‘the top of one mountain is the bottom of another.'”

Santana is expected to headline this Sunday’s TNA Slammiversary event, defending his world title against 2026 Call Your Shot Gauntlet winner Nic Nemeth.
