Layla Diggs injured, pulled from title shot on tomorrow’s WWE NXT

Layla Diggs’ next title opportunity will have to wait.

The rising WWE developmental talent has been pulled from tomorrow’s live epsiode of NXT, it was confirmed on Monday evening.

NXT General Manager Robert Stone revealed that Diggs suffered an injury during a house show on Saturday night, forcing her off tomorrow’s show, where she was expected to challenge NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria.

Stone promised that an unannounced name will replace Diggs and face Zaria on tomorrow’s card.

Diggs has been training in WWE’s developmental system for years, but has just recently been given a bigger spotlight. After becoming a frequent name on EVOLVE, Diggs started to show up on Tuesday night’s NXT program.

Diggs earned an opportunity at Zaria’s North American title on last week’s episode, winning a four-way match featuring Lizzy Rain, Thea Hail, and Izzi Dame.

  • Naraku vs. Tate Wilder
  • Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Kali Armstrong (NXT Women’s Championship #1 Contenders Match)
  • Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes vs. Dorian Van Dux & Sean Legacy (NXT Tag Team Championships)
  • Zaria vs. TBA (NXT Women’s North American Championship)
