The Motor City Machine Guns appear to be on their way back.

The iconic tag team released a video titled “Release” on their YouTube channel, where Alex Shelley walks Chris Sabin through the five stages of grief. The video featured Sabin going through the five stages of grief following their WWE departure back in April. Some of the skits included Sabin praying to various entities, including Karl Gotch and Harley Race, and planking in different places, taking a page out of Johnny Gargano’s book.

The video ended with the Motor City Machine Guns going through documents labeled “Professional Wrestling Contract.” The pair went through the box and included shoutouts to FMW, Cyberfights, WAR (Wrestle and Romance), “Mrs. Chainsaw Pro Wrestling,” El Dorado: Next Door Project, IWA Mid-South, Toryumon X, and W*ING. There was also a promotion that Sabin was disgusted at, but didn’t name.

The pair then landed on a contract they both liked, with angelic music playing, and the video ended on a drone shot pushing away from them.

Before signing with WWE, it was rumored that the MCMG were on their way to AEW, and there has been a lot of speculation that they will be AEW-bound once their 90-day no-compete clause expires.
