The pro wrestling world felt like one during AEW’s “A Tribute to Pac” show, and more heartfelt messages were shared after Dynamite went off the air.
One of the many memorable moments during Dynamite was when Will Ospreay landed the Black Arrow in honor of Benjamin Satterley, a.k.a. Pac. Ospreay has admitted that he would probably need to remove the Shooting Star Press from his moveset, but he landed the Black Arrow and reacted to it on social media.
Got to the arena at 2PM and was in the ring til doors opened practicing. I haven’t performed the Black Arrow for 8 years Something told me on this night I could make the jump. I threw my heart out in front of me and Ben caught it. Thank you Pac.

Maya World shared a note on social media that there were whispers of “come on, Will” and celebrations from AEW talent backstage when Ospreay hit the Black Arrow.
Chris Jericho was not on Dynamite, but he shared his tribute to Pac in a video shared on social media.
So first off, I’m wearing this shirt as a tribute to Ben; if you know, you know. People have been talking about how great of a performer he was, which he was, and how great of a person he was, which he was even more, but Ben always made me smile, always made me laugh, great sense of humor. As a matter of fact, the first time I was ever around him was on a tour bus in Europe. I was sitting a couple of seats behind him, and as we were on the road, he was visciviously debating his favorite comic book character Billy Whizz, and it kind of became a private joke between us, Billy Whizz.
And the first time I ever worked with him was in Tokyo, and we tore the house down. I remember calling the office after and saying, “This guy is a star. You got to do something with this guy.” And we worked a bunch of times after that, including Madison Square Garden, where it didn’t go the way we wanted it to. There was a few mistakes, probably caused by me because Ben didn’t make mistakes in the ring. Although, he did claim he made nothing but mistakes in the ring; if you know, you also know. And so we had a match again the very next night in Glens Falls, New York, where we tore the house down. I remember saying, “Man, I wish we could have had that match tonight last night in MSG.” He said, “Yeah, but the people at Glens Falls wouldn’t have gotten this classic match, and they’ll never forget this classic match.
When we first started putting AEW together, Ben was one of the first guys I called to recruit him to come to AEW and tell him how great of a company this was. When he finally came to join us, he was nothing but the best. I love you, man. I’m gonna miss you, and we had so many great times together. Some scary ones, too, but I wish there was so much more. I’m gonna miss you, Billy Whizz, and to the fine people of Glens Falls, New York, I hope you still remember that match.
I love you, Billy Whizz… pic.twitter.com/I0CHuImmpG

Bayley was one of many WWE performers who wore a “Ben” armband on Raw in honor of Pac. She didn’t directly address Dynamite, but her social media post implied her reaction to the show.
Pro wrestling is so special. The way you can get lost in a match or a character can be so fun. There’s nothing like it. But experiencing that magic and escape, while at the same time honoring a loved one, is truly powerful.
