Roman Reigns retained the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight before The Bloodline and 946 brawled throughout the arena at WWE Money in the Bank.
Reigns defeated Knight with a spear after 26:53 in Saturday’s opening match at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
Knight repeatedly came close to winning his first world championship during a match that received strong reactions for both wrestlers.
Reigns survived the BFT for a near fall, while Knight later kicked out of a spear before responding with one of his own for another two-count.
The fight then moved outside, where Reigns attempted to spear Knight through the barricade. Knight moved out of the way, sending the champion crashing through it instead, before powerbombing Reigns through the commentary table.
Knight followed with a diving elbow back inside but was again unable to secure the pin.
The finish came as Knight attempted another BFT. Reigns escaped and crotched the challenger across the top rope before hitting two Superman Punches and a spear for the three-count.
The match had been set last month after Knight confronted Reigns following his title defense against Penta in Mexico City.
Reigns’ celebration was then interrupted by 946 members Royce Keys, Bronco Nima & Lucien Price, who appeared in the crowd and warned the champion that his time was coming.
Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso & Solo Sikoa emerged behind the group, leading to a brawl between The Bloodline and 946 that moved through the concourse and eventually outside the arena.
The fight included the use of garbage cans before Jaida Parker arrived in an SUV and collected Keys, Nima & Price, allowing 946 to escape.
