WWE’s next Premium Live Event (PLE), Crown Jewel, is still being advertised to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite the region suffering numerous attacks as of late.

Graphics shown on Monday Night Raw’s broadcast this week promoted WWE’s November 7 Crown Jewel card taking place in Riyadh, showing that no plans regarding a potential new location for the event, if there are any, have been made public.

The Iran-backed Houthi militia has attacked Riyadh International Airport numerous times in recent days, including a missile strike over the weekend which caused 12 deaths and 300 injuries.

Due to the attacks, it was announced today that Saudi Arabia’s biggest airport will remain closed until at least Saturday evening. Many governments, including the U.S. and Canada, have warned citizens to reconsider travel to the region due to the recent developments.

But despite the concerning headlines, major events in the region, including WWE’s upcoming Crown Jewel event, remain a go.

Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, announced on Sunday that an October 31 boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Christian Mbilli is expected to go forward, saying that Canelo plans to make the date “no matter what.”

While plans could certainly change, it seems as though, for now, WWE’s trip to the Saudi Arabian capital, which would emerge just a week after that Canelo boxing match, is also scheduled to go forward as planned.

Two champion-versus-champion matchups were revealed for the show on Monday night. Roman Reigns is expected to go head-to-head with Sami Zayn, and Liv Morgan is booked to face Chelsea Green.
