The main event for TNA Destination X was confirmed after Thursday Night Impact.
Trey Miguel became the #1 contender for the TNA World Championship by defeating Moose, Elijah, Ricky Sosa, and Jason Hotch in a ladder match. The match headlined Thursday’s edition of Impact taped earlier this week in Dothan, Alabama.
It sets up Leon Slater’s defense of the championship on November 15 at the Destination X show in Edmonton, Alberta.
Elijah was on his way to grabbing the contract when former champion Nic Nemeth interfered and dropped Elijah with a superkick. Miguel got rid of Nemeth by using the Lightning Spiral and climbed the ladder to secure the contract.
Miguel is a former two-time X Division champion and held the International and tag team belts in TNA.
