Friday Night SmackDown bounced back from its Fourth of July figures and was the top show for the night.
The July 11 episode from Nashville averaged 1,399,000 viewers and 496,000 viewers (0.37) in the 18-49 demographic on the USA Network.
The show grew by twenty percent in overall viewership and sixteen percent in the core demo from last week’s numbers on the U.S. holiday. It was a two-week high for the show in both categories.
In the 18-49 demographic, males rebounded with a forty percent increase from last week. However, females dropped by fourteen percent.
SmackDown ranked first among all television programs on Friday in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.
It aired against the all-women’s boxing card on Netflix, which was headlined by the trilogy bout between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, but didn’t air directly against the main event.
Netflix and VideoAmp are reporting that the card had an average minute audience of 4.2 million viewers in the U.S.
SmackDown included an advertised appearance by musician Jelly Roll, who will be wrestling at SummerSlam in three weeks in a tag match.
