Famed musician and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ozzy Osbourne (John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne) has died.

The Black Sabbath frontman and iconic British rocker passed away on Tuesday at 76, with the family issuing a statement:

It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.

Osbourne made multiple appearances with WWE throughout his career, beginning at WrestleMania 2 in April 1986.

Osbourne was in the corner of the British Bulldogs for their tag team title victory against Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine at the Chicago portion of the three-city event.

In 2007, Osbourne’s single “I Don’t Wanna Stop” was used as the theme for the Judgment Day pay-per-view in May and included a live performance by Osbourne on an episode of SmackDown.

Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” has also been used for WarGames at Survivor Series.

Osbourne returned over the years, guest-hosting an episode of Raw in November 2009 with wife Sharon, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April 2021.

Osbourne has been inducted twice in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Black Sabbath in 2006, and on his own in 2024.
