Fred Ottman is back in the hospital as the former wrestler shared an update that he will be unable to make an appearance this weekend.
The 70-year-old did not disclose the medical issue he’s facing, but said “things beyond his control” would prevent him from appearing in Ft. Myers, Florida, this weekend at the SWFL Super Card Show at the Lee Civic Center.
This past February, Ottman revealed he had spent a month in a hospital after his gallbladder “exploded” and led to a severe infection.
Ottman’s career included stays in the CWA in Memphis, Championship Wrestling from Florida, SWS in Japan, and WCW as The Shockmaster and Uncle Fred.
His biggest run was with the WWF as Tugboat and later, Typhoon, winning the tag titles with Earthquake (John Tenta) as the Natural Disasters in 1992. The pair were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year in Las Vegas
