Jacy Jayne will be seeing Lola Vice soon.

Vice won a triple threat match against Jaida Parker and Kelani Jordan on Sunday night, earning her a #1 contender’s spot for the NXT Women’s Championship, which Jayne currently holds.

The match opened NXT Heatwave, which took place at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts, this weekend.

Just moments prior to the finish, it seemed as though Jordan was the one inching toward a win. The former women’s North American Champion climbed to the top rope and hoped to put away Vice with a 450 Splash.

However, Vice was able to reverse the move into a deep guillotine choke, which she kept a hold of as she worked up to her feet. Vice only let go of this move to dodge a Hipnotic from Parker, which instead took out Jordan.

After dodging the Hipnotic, Vice rolled up Parker for a pinfall win in 11 minutes.

Vice has challenged for NXT’s top women’s title twice, including at last year’s Heatwave card. However, the former Bellator MMA fighter is still chasing her first gold in professional wrestling. As revealed on Sunday, we now know Vice is guaranteed another opportunity at a belt.
