The first match of AEW All Out 2025 is official.
Ontario’s own Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will team up against Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood of FTR, as confirmed on Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
The grudge match will take place on September 20 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.
When Copeland and Cage decided to reunite in recent weeks, they did so under the agreement that they would help solve eachother’s issues. For Cage, he needed to handle the trio of Killswitch, Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne. In Copeland’s case, he wanted revenge on FTR, who turned their backs against him with a brutal attack earlier this year.
After Copeland and Cage picked up a win over Killswitch and Sabian at Forbidden Door last weekend, their first time teaming together in over a decade, their focus has shifted to FTR.
The Canadian duo jumped FTR in the opening segment of tonight’s Dynamite, then confirmed their intentions to face the former AEW tag champs at All Out moments later.
With Copeland on the poster for All Out, it was clear that he was going to be part of the lineup. Now, we know what to expect when he heads to the Scotiabank Arena.
