Hiromu Takahashi will defend his newly won GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship for the first time next month.

Takahashi defeated YO-HEY on the opening night of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s N-1 Victory tournament on Monday at Korakuen Hall.

He was confronted by junior heavyweights Junta Miyawaki, Daiki Odashima, and Atsushi Kotoge, but it was Eita who entered the ring last and issued a challenge.

Eita is a two-time Jr. Heavyweight Champion and last held the belt earlier this year, losing to YO-HEY on May 3.

NOAH has confirmed that Takahashi will defend the title against Eita on October 11 at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.

The event takes place two days before NJPW’s King of Pro Wrestling.
