The stars of AEW will soon be seen on the same pages featuring Batman, Wonder Woman, and other comic book legends.
AEW announced on Wednesday afternoon that they have agreed to a two-issue “comic book event” with DC, collaborating for a “storytelling experience” that will bring together professional wrestlers and members of the Justice League.
The two-part comic book from DC and AEW will be available on AEW’s online shop, although the exact release date isn’t known at the moment. It will also be sold at AEW events next year, as well as at comic book stores.
A “preview” version of the comic book will be for sale at New York Comic Con later this month, where a pair of panels featuring AEW stars is also scheduled to take place.
Art from the release published this week shows Kenny Omega, Willow Nightingale, Darby Allin, Jon Moxley, Hangman Page, Will Ospreay, Mercedes Moné, Swerve Strickland, Orange Cassidy, and Toni Storm in the same shot as Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and others.
As part of the collaboration, DC Comics will serve as the title sponsor for AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view event on November 22. AEW will also help promote the upcoming “DC KO” series.
