Kota Ibushi reportedly left Daily’s Place on a stretcher this evening.
Numerous eyewitness reports note that Japanese wrestling vet Ibushi suffered an injury during Wednesday night’s taping of AEW Collision, causing an abrupt end to his singles match against Josh Alexander.
Per an article from F4WOnline, which had reporter JJ Williams on-site at the event, one of Ibushi’s legs appeared to give out while on the top rope. This caused him to fall to the outside, ending the bout via count-out. Specifics around the injury aren’t known at the moment.
AEW President Tony Khan addressed attendees shortly after the incident, thanking fans for being respectful as Ibushi was being tended to.

Footage circulating on social media shows Ibushi being rolled out of the venue on a stretcher.
Ibushi made his return to AEW programming back in June, making his first in-ring appearance with the promotion since late 2023. He worked in the main event bout of the promotion’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view in August, appearing alongside other members of a babyface team in a five-on-five Lights Out Steel Cage bout.
