AEW’s pre-empted Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite fell to its lowest numbers in the show’s history, while NXT’s numbers ticked up for its Showdown special.

NXT averaged 625,000 viewers and a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic, while AEW Dynamite drew 321,000 viewers and a 0.07 in the demo.

The NXT figures represent the first week-over-week rise in mainstream pro wrestling ratings since Nielsen changed its measurement method.

All viewership figures are now being measured under Nielsen’s new ‘Big Data + Panel’ methodology, which complicates direct comparisons with data from before late September 2025.

The new system uses device-level data from set-top boxes and smart TVs in addition to traditional panel data and has generally resulted in lower measurements for wrestling programming. A full explanation of the changes can be found from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

However, for NXT, the numbers represent a rebound from the previous week. The October 7th special was up from the 572,000 viewers and 0.10 demographic rating that the September 30th episode drew, both of which were lows for the show’s run on The CW network. That represents a 9% boost in total audience and a 20% rise in the demo compared with last week.

The special featured a crossover with TNA Wrestling talent. The show saw Matt and Jeff Hardy defeat DarkState to win the NXT Tag Team Championships, becoming double champions. In the main event, Team TNA defeated Team NXT after Trick Williams walked out.

AEW Dynamite’s audience of 321,000 and 0.07 demographic rating are new all-time lows for the program, falling below last week’s previous record low in the demo. These figures represent a 31% dip in total audience and a 22% downturn in the demo compared with the previous week.

The October 1st episode, which aired in its normal Wednesday slot, drew 465,000 viewers and a 0.09 rating under the new measurement system.

For comparison, last year’s Title Tuesday on October 8, 2024, drew 329,000 viewers and a 0.10 rating, with those figures measured under the old panel-only system.

2024’s Title Tuesday also occurred before AEW began simulcasting on HBO Max. The streaming service’s viewership is not included in Nielsen’s data, even under the new measurement method.

The broadcast featured two championship matches, with TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher and TBS Champion Mercedes Moné both successfully retaining their titles. The show also featured multiple angles to build for the upcoming WrestleDream pay-per-view.
